With a host of recently opened attractions and experiences – and more on the horizon – 2024 is sure to be a year like no other at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. “New” extends to practically every corner of the world with new and returning nighttime spectaculars, stage shows and character appearances, resort expansions, seasonal festivals and special events.
Characters are greeting guests at Epcot Center in a socially responsible way, even if crowds lining the streets are less than six feet apart.
The popular Land boat ride has gone all in on its Christmas decor.
“Over the next several years, the Walt Disney World Resort theme park will live up to that promise in a whole new way as it continues the biggest transformation of any Disney park in history, bringing the next generation of immersive storytelling to life through a plethora of new attractions and experiences,” the resort said in a news release.
Epcot guests will soon be able to visit the kingdom of Arendelle when the highly anticipated attraction Frozen Ever After opens in the Norway Pavilion. The ride replaces the popular Maelstrom attraction that closed in 2014.
Early next month, Epcot’s Maelstrom is set to go the way of World of Motion, Mission to Mars and, yes, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Walt Disney World officials are Mr. Toading the Maelstrom.
